Privacy, in plain words

There is no account to make, no form to fill in and no tracker following you around. Here's the whole picture.

What we collect

Nothing, really. You don't register, you don't type your name anywhere, and the dates you count down to live in your own address bar. We can't see them and we don't store them. If you name a countdown "Mum's 70th", that text sits in your link and nowhere else.

Server logs

Like nearly every website, our host keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser type, which pages were requested. Those help us spot abuse and find broken pages. They rotate out on their own and we don't use them for anything else.

Cookies

The site sets none. Your browser does remember the last few countdowns you opened so the home page can show them again, but that list stays on your device and never reaches us. Clear your browser data and it's gone.

Embeds on other sites

When you land on a page that embeds one of our timers, your browser fetches it from our server. That request shows up in the same plain logs described above, and nothing more happens with it. No profile, no pixel, no handoff to anybody.
