Using the site means you're fine with what's below. It's short on purpose.

Count down to whatever you like, share the links, put the timers on your own pages. There's no fee and no account. The only thing we ask is that you don't use the site to break the law or to harass anybody, and that you don't hammer the server with automated requests.
We test the date maths carefully and the counters read your device clock, so they should be right. Still, the site comes as it is. Don't schedule a rocket launch, a legal deadline or a wedding caterer around a number on this page without checking it against an official source. If the site goes down for a day, that's life on a small independent tool.
You may embed our timers anywhere, including on a site that earns money. Please leave the small "Powered by DateCounter" link in place, since that's the only payment we take. Building a client project where the link really can't stay? Write to us and we'll sort something out.
The code, design, logo and wording of this site are ours. Dates, holidays and the arithmetic between them belong to everybody, so feel free to quote a countdown, screenshot it, or tell your friends how many days are left.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes too. We won't quietly rewrite them behind your back, and there's no mailing list to un-sign from.
